Putting Yourself out There

The Sun is in quirky Aquarius and your 7th House of Partnerships until February 18, so opportunities to make new alliances or strengthen old ones are more likely now. This is also a favorable period for going public with a new idea or in search of employment. Yet even if you make a great presentation, you might get a response that's not as dramatic as you'd like. Aquarius is a cool and detached sign, so don't take the lack of a standing ovation as disapproval. Showing confidence is great as long as you don't go over the top. This is not a time for a hard sell. Be enthusiastic, of course, but pitch yourself and your ideas based on facts more than on flash. Professional relationships can be extremely helpful now as long as you're open to unusual ideas. Aquarius spews a stream of unconventional concepts and futuristic attitudes that aren't always easy to accept. Avoid major showdowns by being flexible and keeping an open mind.

Intellectual Mercury's shift into Aquarius on February 10 can connect you with smarties, so make sure that your mental game is up to speed before getting into any serious conversations. The New Moon on February 13 is joined with dreamy Neptune which could put an end to a fuzzy agreement or tempt you to make an impractical deal. It's all too easy to get carried away with an amazing sounding idea. But the gap between the vision and what's really possible may be too great to overcome.
